The modern economy has been in a permanent crisis for quite some time. When the world began to recover from the economic collapse triggered by the crisis of the first decade of the 21st century, the SARS-COVID pandemic appeared, which caused economic disturbances comparable to the world war. When this element seemed to be under control, a real war broke out just beyond the eastern border of the European Union. Its result was a change of the main assumptions and priorities in the economic policy of all the participants of the market game in the globalized world. An additional factor increasing the scale of difficulties from the managerial point of view is the large-scale war migration, which deeply affects the labor market. Managers at all levels are faced with these difficult circumstances. These challenges should also be met by the specialists in the field of management sciences, both in the area of practice providing specific management methods as well as the theory allowing to understand the ongoing processes. Hence the terms: Sustainability-Security-Quality occurs in the subtitle of the conference. Although the concept of sustainable development seems to be particularly inadequate for the description of the present situation in the world, where in almost every field we can observe all known aspects of organizational imbalance, each system ultimately aims for sustainable development. There is no need to convince about the growing significance of security. It has developed meanings that have been already forgotten in developed economies, and in the face of deep systemic imbalance, its absence seems to be particularly dysfunctional. And finally the quality. Despite the factors for the functioning of the management sphere discussed above, quality is still the main factor of competitive advantage in an extremely turbulent environment. The present times require management to reconcile extreme tendencies: chaos and balance, disturbances and security, unpredictability and quality. These issues will be addressed at this multidisciplinary conference; it will present various theoretical and methodological perspectives with a strong emphasis put on management practice.
This year's Conference aims to exchange ideas, present the results of ongoing research projects and create an international network of relations, which will result in cooperative research projects. Another expected effect of this Conference will be the dissemination of research results through speeches and international publications, both in traditional as well as in digital form. Each of the papers published in the conference proceedings will be provided with a DOI number to identify the object more efficiently in digital networks together with current data on it. The expected duration of the Conference is two days. Each of the conference days will begin with a plenary session, during which distinguished international specialists in the field of economics, management, and other social sciences will give a speech. Speeches of specialists from the world of management practice are also expected, whose comments and observations on the up-to-date problems of the organization will be a valuable contribution to the course of conference discussions. The second part of the Conference will be organized in the form of parallel thematic sessions. Both the plenary sessions as well as the vast majority of thematic sessions will be conducted in the English and Polish language.
